Olivier Bockenbach graduated in 1985 from the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées in Lyon (France) where he obtained a Master of Sciences degree in Computer Sciences majored in High Performance Embedded Real Time Distributed and Fault Tolerant Systems.
He has started to apply this knowledge as a consultant for the defense industry in prestigious projects such as the Rafale fighter Aircraft. He has also contributed to the success of numerous projects in the telecom and aerospace industry.
Later, he moved on to the Medical Imaging Industry and notably in the area of higher performance image processing for real time X-ray applications and Computed Tomography reconstruction. In collaboration with famous companies and universities, he published several papers on those topics.
As some medical imaging application progressively investigated the possibilities of using artificial intelligence, he progressively mastered this field and started to apply the relevant concept to object recognition and classification.
Combined with his strong experience in real time embedded systems, artificial intelligence made him well suited to enter the emerging market of autonomous driving. Nowadays, he is working in the areas of Functional Safety and Safety Of The Intended Functionality in major projects in Autonomous Driving. He has already published several papers on those topics.
